Nancy Resler has published numerous product and restaurant reviews in Bay Food & Wine magazine and several essays on artists and on various other subjects. In 1999, with Cynthia Ford, she initiated the first online Humanities creative writing courses for the University of California Davis Extension – classes Ms. Resler continued to teach for the next ten years. Her first book, “The Last Protégée,” a memoir, tells the story of her eight years as the protégée of famous conductor and teacher, Antonia Brico, from the protégée’s perspective. An interview with the author is forthcoming in The Benicia Herald in February.

Ms. Resler currently coaches creative writers and artists, edits exhibition catalogs and books on artists, and teaches creative writing online and through workshops. She is working on a novel about the life of a talented and eccentric contemporary composer, his loves and losses.

Ms. Resler has two daughters and two grandsons. She lives in California with her husband and his cat, Tom Tom.
